As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide vital support and guidance to individuals living with mental health needs, helping them to achieve greater independence and improve their overall wellbeing.</span><br><br><strong><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></strong><br><span>- Provide one-to-one support to service users with mental health conditions, helping them to develop coping strategies, access appropriate services, and achieve their personal goals</span><br><span>- Support service users in managing daily living tasks, such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment</span><br><span>- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including mental health professionals, social workers, and healthcare providers, to ensure service users receive comprehensive and holistic care</span><br><span>- Monitor and assess the mental health and wellbeing of service users, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate authorities</span><br><span>- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided and outcomes achieved, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures</span><br><span>- Provide emotional support and encouragement to service users, promoting self-esteem and empowerment</span><br><span>- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings to enhance your knowledge and skills as a Mental Health Support Worker</span><br><br><strong><span>Our ideal candidate will have:</span></strong><br><span>- Previous experience working in a mental health support role</span><br><span>- Knowledge of mental health conditions.</span><br><span>- Strong communication and interpersonal skills</span><br><span>- Ability to work empathetically and non-judgmentally with individuals experiencing mental health challenges</span><br><span>- Excellent organisational and time-management skills</span><br><span>- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team</span><br><span>- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality policies and procedures</span><br><span>- Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent</span><br><br><span>This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals living with mental health needs.
