This role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive large-scale transformation projects from conception through completion, including new site launches, facility optimizations, and strategic infrastructure developments.<br>Key job responsibilities<br><ul><li> Managing projects related to the deployment of engineering solutions in delivery stations of UK/IE Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network</li><li> Owning projects including greenfield launches, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) re-layouts, retrofits of automated solutions and other building improvements</li><li> Leading the full project lifecycle from equipment ordering, layout validation, vendor coordination and project plan finalisation to installation works management, vendor commissioning, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) completion and handover to internal customers</li><li> Interacting with different functions to provide trade off solutions that satisfy potential conflicts and deliver as per guidelines</li><li> Validating stakeholder designs and customer requirements and providing feedback in a timely manner to resolve technical deficiencies and maintain schedules</li><li> Identifying inefficiencies of processes or standards within the allocated country or at European level and proactively leading improvements with the relevant teams<br></li></ul>A day in the life<br>You will manage execution of engineering projects in AMZL delivery stations primarily across UK/IE or EU if required. Your day could include engaging within the organization or with vendors to execute as per guidelines, attending the site to monitor progresses on a daily basis, resolving technical deficiencies to maintain schedule and delivering as per standards. You will optimise and simplify to remove bottlenecks and make sure the project is delivered on time, budget and quality as set up by program and finally celebrating in the successful launch of the project… Day One for all of us!<br><b>Basic Qualifications<br></b><ul><li> Experience working with the designs of complex automated material, handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing</li><li> Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software</li><li> Experience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projects</li><li> Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation and logistics, or fulfillment and distribution centers<br></li></ul><b>Preferred Qualifications<br></b><ul><li> Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders</li><li> Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma</li><li> Experience with hands-on security engineering</li><li> Experience in end-to-end project management, including strategic planning and execution</li><li> Expertise in complex MHE operations and packaging lines or process design utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles</li><li> Experience delivering results in a high-velocity, technology-driven environment while managing multiple concurrent priorities</li><li> Ability to drive business impact through data-driven analysis and financial modeling, resulting in quantifiable improvements (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)</li><li> Experience managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment<br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
